Don't forget the amount of times your arse puckered up because you were pushing it or the amount of crap that accumulates on the back bumper or how many times you almost hit that animal on the road or the amount of times you got pissed of at the bikers or the amount of times the oncoming car was in your lane.

Sharing "pissed off biker stories" is always a good past time.

As well as pissed off ambulance drivers.
 
I just got word from Fontana that everything is good with the lodge contract, we're official!!!

You may now commence reserving your rooms and cabins.

15 lodge rooms are available for $79 / night between the nights of Thursday 9/12- Saturday 9-14.

4 Azalea cabins are also available, from $129-$279 a night, no discounted rate.

Keep note of this information, I don't want to see a noob or someone post questions about lodging 5 months from now when all of the information is readily available.
 
How fast does everything generally fill up? I want to go but I am waiting on part of the OMG Racing team to commit to going/set her wedding date. I don't want to miss out on one of the lodge rooms.
 
Due to the price I don't expect the cabins to fill up fast. I'd say you have a good 2 months to book your room.
The discounted rate for the lodge room is only available until July 12th.

So when contacting them to reserve a room/cabin are just saying we are with 9thcivic? Getting ready to reserve my room.

3 night stay - Thurs, Fri, Sat

Grand Total $842.24
Deposit Required at time of Booking $373.50


Thinking about pulling the trigger on this one. Probably have to call them though since it's not "available" through the website. I searched an open week later in september to get an idea of price.



Anyone who has been there before: What cabin has the most common space? The 2 or the 3? Or are they all about the same?

I was on hold for 35 minutes before I hung up. There is an option to have them call you back. I will call back later and leave my number.

I set aside the 2 bedroom Azaleas for the group, they will probably have a little more overall room, in the past I didn't see a need for a 3 bedroom, plus the price was a bit higher.

Call in the morning, there's usually a better chance of reaching someone.

I hope it doesn't rain when we're down there. That's ultimately what's keeping me from buying the "extreme" summer tires like the z2 / re11 / ad08, I still have to drive in all weather conditions, driving the Acura in rainy weather isn't an option.

Right now I'm debating on getting the goodyear f1 asymmetric 2 with the $80 rebate or spending a bit more for michelin pss.
 
I too hope it doesnt rain. I went with the hankooks, but now there are two more in that size. A bfg and toyo. I understand about the weather. I bought pirelli p zero rossos for the si. They seem pretty good in the wet. I only went with them because they were clearanced for 90 a tire. I like the Michelins because mine came with them when it was new, and from what I have seen the new ones are even better.

I'm so bad with buying tires, I'll debate it for months before I'm even ready to buy them. Right now I'm looking around April or so, using part of my tax return to buy them, now I'm also considering the Conti DW, because of the overall light weight of the tire (21lbs compared to 25lbs for the oems)
 
don't overthink it. WRX do especially well with Dunlops Star Spec ZI (or the new version ZII). There is a good reason why (est.) 85% of people go this way if they want performance. Hate to use NASIOC as a reference, but I gotta believe that they arent lying about what tires they use.....just what they do with them

In autocross....which does not apply to me.
 
I'm not considering any extreme tires at all, I'm not 100% confident of driving on them every day through rain, they're dry only tires. I'm leaning towards Michelin PSS if everything goes well, and they perform right up with star specs, and they're livable as well.
