ADExternal's PMM Civic aka Orianna

For $400 I think you did a great job. Id say stick with the way it is and given it some time. Thats the only way you will know if its good enough or not. Car audio can be as big of a money pit as you allow. So get to a point you can be satisfied with and dont worry about if it could be better lol (personal experience).

Very true Bulky, I almost forgot about the breaking in period for the device and especially the sub. I think Ill call this mod to close as far as investments.

Lol break in is very argued as far as how you should treat the sub when is new. I say as long as you aren't surpassing the mechanical or thermal limits of the sub it will be fine. New or not. The voicecoil will get looser as the sub breaks in though so it should get a little fuller.

So, was it that the pins were not inserted far enough?
Yes you were right. The pins were not inserted right. I did some research on the JAE Pins housing. And it turned out that the JAEPin Housing have a black retainer plastic clip. Use a spectacle screw driver and lift the retainer out (It comes out around 2mm). Once the retainer is pulled out, the pins go in like knife in the butter. Once the pins are in, push back the retainer in the JAE Housing. If the retainer is not pushed in correctly, the housing will not go into the imid. I would sincerely extend my thanks for the encouragement and all the efforts by you and adexternal. Thanks once again.

Really happy that you got it working. :)

So I redid my sub preamp cable from 15ft to 7ft and is now giving me .9v @ 26vol [60hz0tb]... good news is the amp is running beautifully without distortion with lower gain than before. Bad news is now I have a Rockford RF-BLD Line Driver sitting on my bed not used :P anyone interested in a for sale?

great work ... can't wait to see your final install pics
