long time no update as there hasn't been anything added or upgraded. working part time as i'm transitioning to post-grad life, but i start at my new place in mid august. the car will likely get more interesting then.

I really like the '12 lip spoiler versus the wing they stuck on my '13. Are the two interchangeable?

i'm sure they are. the trunks look the same with the exception of the accent taillights. you could probably find someone to swap trunks with, ala Subaru people and the STi's swapping for non-STi trunks.

washed it and then went out to get it dirty again

Nearing a year of ownership and after much reading on them, it was time for coilovers;

Waiting for my rear camber arms before I go and get an alignment. For those who are unfamiliar, these particular coilovers have been used and abused by a lot of the California track junkies. The owner of 8thgen Big Red has a set of these on his 9th and has compared them to Tein MonoFlex's, which is a good thing. Once things are settled and aligned, I'll take better pictures and get some driving done to give a better review.

Let me know how it goes with those I'm still deciding whether or not to bite the bullet and try these, I had the cheaper model on my 240sx before and they blew quickly but I've talked to the owner of the big red 8th gen and he has these on his 9th gen and says they are awesome at the track but I wanna hear more peoples opinions on these before I get it

So far around town, they've been fine. They are, however, on the stiffer side of the spectrum.

Yeah, but it's not too bad for me. When you're on a suspension package that's paired appropriately (dampers and springs), it won't ever feel wonky.

I'm not sure what the spring rates are for the CTRs, but these are 8K front, 10k rears.
 
Here's what I've got as far as height is. I could probably lower the rear a little more, but I'll wait.

This is set to whatever the top hats came at. Once everything is settled, I can go get a real alignment and get it dialed in properly.

Got my alignment done today. Even though the shop I went to is one that I've been going to for ages is super reputable, they had a hard time with the top hats. They were able to adjust everything close to my spec, so I'm happy. I'll probably end up getting camber bolts as well to make up for it. Ideally, I wanted -1.5* in the rear, but I haven't rolled my fenders yet. Had I gone with a 215 in the rear, I would've had clearance. Either way, the car drives great and I can't wait to hit up my favorite canyon soon.
