Foo’s 2024 Integra Type S

That's pretty good. I believe I pay $350 for a barely used one for the old CTR.

I saw a post somewhere that PRL is doing the CARB testing so that all/most their coming products for the new CTR and ITS will be "road legal" in all states.

Time to empty the wallet.....

PRL intake ordered

Car downtime and Christmas holiday gonna be good to hit the other on-hold projects for CF OEM spoiler, CF mirror covers.

Looking at lowering springs because I saw another in the wild and it looks great. More to come…

My lady said I need to prioritize the Tacoma again, so new sound system and lift kit finally might happen if I don’t blow money on house projects again.

Which lift kit are you looking at?

You liking your outdoor eating area and new kitchen stuff you did?

Of course. More like outdoor seating area. We did that in 2022. Kitchen remodel included new flooring throughout the house and one remodeled bathroom. Next is the other bathrooms and laundry, but probably 2026 for those. Somewhere we need to think about HVAC.

PRL intake came in today. Let’s see if I have a spare few hours to mess with it over the weekend for install. Otherwise it’ll have to wait.

Shouldn’t take more than an hour. You MIGHT have to cut one of the hose clamps off. One of mine was a one time use type of deal.

What method did you use to cut that hose clamp? Looks like the valve cover vent clamp is the one and they have a replacement in the parts bag.

Is there a nut or screw head on the other side of that clamp? Even if they’re one time use, how do they tighten them?

Nothing on the other side. Never seen something like that before. Used a Dremel Tool to cut a notch in the head and backed it out with a screwdriver.

Looks like they broke off the heads to prevent tampering with. I found instances where folks were able to remove without cutting or I’ll try the cutting a groove for a flathead screw driver.

Gonna go at it tomorrow as I ended up cleaning up yard of debris from the storms we had earlier in the week.

Yeah. That's meant to break off at the proper torque and then can't be tampered. Nissan did this with their ignition cylinder bolts. Haven't seen it on any Chrysler's yet.

Got it out without cutting. Took some twisting and pulling.

Had to stop before installing. My install kit didn’t include the bracket for the secondary inlet. I’ll need to call PRL tomorrow to get that bracket and associated screw.

Not that the car was going anywhere this week anyway…

Intake sounds really good. Not as loud as some of the reviews would have you think, but definite improvement over stock box.

Took a quick test drive while waiting for the ECU wire harness bracket to come in from PRL, so I don’t have the secondary intake all hooked up. That’ll have to happen next weekend I guess
