Hondata Releases 2012 Honda Civic Si ECU Reflash!!

I just placed my order early this morning with corsport, maybe you can shed some light on this process for me Michael.

I did not receive any further instructions from them, I have my ECU sitting on my desk here with at work ready to overnight, with no form to include or address to ship to. What am I supposed to do? I'm trying to get my car back ASAP.
they will send it it takes them a few hours 3 at the most you will get a email shortly

Impressive numbers, I have a spare vehicle for the next couple weeks, I'm very tempted to do this but I need some real world feedback on whether the rev hang is noticeable better or not.

Sounds like Michael never had a problem with it before, so he can't really tell us whether or not it's better.
yeah ive never noticed it before so i cant tell you what its like now i didnt know it was a issue sorry but from the video i can see now what you are talking about.

It bugs the crap out of me and is if not the main reason, in the top 3 reasons I got the reflash. It feels like a slipping clutch to me on a brand new car, it's just wrong.

I just got the e-mail from them... after I already went to the post office lol. Still no mention of how I was supposed to pay Hondata for the return shipping, is that included in the price of the reflash Michael?

The Good News:
ECU is on it's way
Was able to express mail the ECU with USPS for ~32 dollars using a box I had laying around.
Guaranteed by 10 AM tomorrow.
I used the form webby posted which is the same one CorSport sent me.

The Bad News:
I listed CorSport USA Inc as the dealer, and the form I got from them says Hybrid Racing.
I'm driving my GF's 94 accord until it gets back, it desperately needs a new CV Axle and the tag is expired... WIN.
The ECU isn't back already lol, one day in the future... teleporters are a must.

hondata will just ship it back - from a PM with Michael

do you ship directly to hondata?
yes - you ship it to Hondata

Michael or webby, can you guys shed any light on how accurate hondata's turnaround estimates are? We are having bad weather today here and my gf's accord is already dangerous to drive when it's not strong winds and heavy rains so I'm sitting at the house waiting for the FedEx man to deliver my ECU, since Hondata claims same day turn around and they received my ECU yesterday at 11am... I am assuming they overnighted my ECU yesterday as well. Trying to work from home but also trying not to use a vacation day if I don't have to ;)

as long as they aren't swamped with ecu's the day yours arrived, it should be done that day. Stuff on the forums, and on their site says they flash the ecu the day it arrives, or the following day based on volume.

This sucks, sent wednesday, hondata received thursday at 11am, expected it yesterday.. nothing, thought today maybe... nothing yet.

Would really appreciate an e-mail or something, tracking number may be asking for a lot, but a simple e-mail letting me know to expect it would be great. i don't even know if it has been sent back yet.

yeah i didnt recieve anything letting me know the status either

some companies won't do overnight saturday deliveries without a lot of added cost. I'm guessing it was sent fri and didn't go out with saturday overnight options. So, it's probably a monday delivery date.

After some reading about the extra cost to fedex and have delivery on a saturday, this seems most likely the situation. Heres to me hoping my ECU comes tomorrow.

maybe kennyg will offer you his harley lol

ECU is on it's way to Hondata! Can. Not. Wait.

Just a heads up for everyone if you looking to budget money for it:
Hondata $349 (ECU and shipping)
$80!!! FedEx(next day air, early a.m delivery)
$41/day car rental

USPS next day is like $30-35

Got my ECU back yesterday, best money I ever spent. I'd highly recommend it to everyone!

Pros:
Throttle is way more responsive, the car feels more lively in all gears
The engine sound is actually changed quite a bit, it sounds throatier.
The rev hang is completely gone, the car feels like the fun to drive older sportier Honda cars like the EM1 and DC2.

Cons:
Hondata claims a same day turn around, but they got my ECU on thursday at 11 am and didn't ship it out until Friday at 3 PM.

My attempt at recording the rev hang fix while joyriding, driving, shifting and holding the phone at the same time. Sorry for the **** quality and drake... first folder on my flash drive lol.
