I think it depends on the kind of filter. If it's a wet one like k&n you can clean then. If it's dry you can't?Morning
any tips on cleaning an intake filter?
Man I feel like a complete noob.. I have the K-Tuned SRI and I can't see anywhere whether or not it s a wet or dry filter..
I think you're right though about the wet vs dry. I don't have any of the oily residue on my MAF sensor so my guess is that it was a dry filter and just needs to be swapped out if it's excessively dirty?
so k&n even makes a cleaning product for their dry filters. You could try that
