Went to Target today and Detail Garage was having "Rides and Coffee". Not that many cars there but saw this Viper when I was driving by.

Reading this makes me realise how bad the body shop I worked for as an apprentise was. We never used a rack or measurements. Just used the anchors in the ground with a chain and hydraulic thingy, and the body guy made me do all the work in my second year. I welded a roof skin on an outlander that a tree fell on by myself. Oh god, so many car fixed improperly. I feel so bad right now.

Oh man, don't let me fool you. We try and do things the right way, but there is a lot of bad apples out there. We've got a good group of dudes here but we have had some cars roll through that is just scary how bad things are.

One that stands out was a 330i coupe that the guy had just bought a week prior.. certified carfax "no accident" car.. got side swiped.. you could see a good 1/4" - 1/2" of bondo and the paint was coming off in giant chips with bondo. I've worked at a few shops that had techs that where like that. They would refuse to actually work a panel and just pave over damages with bondo. Had a tech that claimed he was the best in the company and he shaved off a body line in a bedside panel because he thought it was damage
