Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

But do they really need all of that or you couldn't order certain parts they need?
its warranty. there was metal in the oil, so the turbo is probably trash. head is probably warped bad since i couldnt find any other reason for 25psi in cylinder 1. most engines from chrysler are compete long blocks anymore.

Interesting. I’ve got a few mechanic friends and I ne of them is a Master Tech for VW. Literally has to order every individual part when doing a rebuild. One customer blew his turbo which took out the oil pump and then the block and he had to list every nut and bolt needed for repair instead of being able to just order any assembly.

Oh thought the customer had to flip the bill.

Just a great way to start the day!
started the day installing the new engine. went in easy. will have to re assemble the old engine for the core but thats easy when you dont have to re seal or torque anything.

ive heard of this too but id be scared of other parts failing over time due to contaminated oil from metal shavings. my cousin has a gmc truck that he had rebuilt due to bad main bearings or something like that, they replacing the bearings in stead of the engine. that metal is in other bearings now, id be selling the truck asap if they didnt replace the engine.

I will say that Mopar makes things easy when it comes to cores

I do. I'm not sure when this happened, but I don't wear glasses when working under vehicles. Just when I'm grinding or something similar.
Every time I’ve ever gotten **** in my eyes it’s been while casually laying under a car. Whenever I’m grinding something bits usually end up in my skin.

Every time I remove the plastic splash shield under my car to change the oil I get stuff falling in my eyes. It’s horrible.

What’s eye protection?

I usually wear glasses so I’m all good, lol

What's working on your own vehicles? :hiding:

I'm too old for that. Plus I don't have a driveway/garage/parking pad.. I'd rather pay for someone to do it anyways.

But don't you like getting dirty and sweaty working on a car? And making up new words to yell at it until it's fixed?

C'mon! It's the best!

Nope. Well back in 2007 when I had my '07 WRX I liked working on cars. Then I got my '15 WRX (July 2014) and I guess I've gotten older and have no desire to work on a car.. Getting dirty/sweaty.. No thanks. I guess I'm a diva. :)
