Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

Technically there is no "acceptable" knock, but the knock sensors on these cars tend to be very sensitive so you'll register a random count here or there without any legitimate knock.
I know vit repeatedly said the knock sensors on the 9th were really sensitive. Is your tune custom, or are you using a flashpro map they provide?

E tune with e tunez. Same one for 2 years.

I wonder if I put 87 octane by accident last fill up.

How do you not remember if you put in 87 instead of 93?
you mean 91.

Inlaws Honda fit starter took a **** last week. Didn't feel like replacing it till Friday so we've been playing musical cars with the 10th gen and my dad's atlas and my si. I doubt since there's no knock at wot. But it's possible.

Forgot some folks only can get 91 lol
Higher altitudes… air is less dense which leads to the car running rich. Lower octane (91 vs 93 premium or 85 vs 87 regular) let’s the car run properly when you’re say a mile above sea level in Denver or wherever.

This might be confusing.
Finished the 2.0l wrangler replacement engine. The day I installed it parts manager comes out and says it said to order an updated fuel rail pressure sensor with the engine. 2.0l is direct injection. So I'm a little annoyed at that point until I realized the sensor was easy to get to. So fast forward to yesterday, finished the job. Went to replace the sensor to find out the one that came with the new engine is a 3 pin sensor and the new one is a 4 pin. Sensor on the old engine is also 4 pin.

So obviously I the engine harness that came with the engine is a 3 pin connector and it's not going to work so I decided to put the original sensor back in but sure enough it throws an engine light. So now I'm stumped on what to do. I could swap the engine harness but that's a big job in the vehicle. I took the harness out of the loom to see if there was an extra wire hiding in it but there isn't. I emailed tech line to see what they say.

Tech lines answer is to swap the engine harness from the old engine. Two problems with that. Much harder to replace it now that the engines in the vehicle and it melted part of the harness next to the exhaust port on the head because of the overheating. Probably gonna run a 4th wire to the pcm and solder In the connector from the old harness.

Just tell the customer the car is F'ed and they need everything new.....or go buy another vehicle. lol
