Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

Costa Rica is a blast, and you can find some smaller resorty things to book into and still do all the excursion activities, you just happen to be on a river in the middle of the rain forest

I like sayulita Mexico more than Costa Rica only because we can walk to beaches here. Lots of golf car rentals but I'm not lazy enough or fat enough for that. And I'm cheap. We walked probably 2 kms a day here. We never left the town either. There is a lot to do here and very lively. Lots of you Americans here ( driving golf carts. Lol ).

Costa Rica requires a car rental to get to any beach. But it's completely different since it's a rain forest. Both have pros and cons. I'd rather have a private beach with a small house next to it with no one trying to sell me braids every 5 minutes though. And I have no hair. That's not possible.

I think we're going to plan a Thailand trip for next year. Probably 2 or 3 weeks though. It's going to be expensive though. I just priced out flights and it's 6k CND for 4. Air bnb seems to be about 2 to 4k CND for 3 weeks but we would probably do 2 different locations. But it is fun learning a town, last 4 days I've been able to navigate with no Google maps. I have quickly realized that I need to learn Spanish though. Bought a bottle of water and she said trienta and had no idea. Handed her a 50 and thankfully I was right and got 20 back.

Did taxes. Yuck.

Between all tax sources (sales, property, income, cap gains, SS, Medicare) we paid more than $100k in taxes last year and still owed $100 at the end of the day.

What was your effective tax percentage? We did ours this past week and got a few grand back. We were at 14% after all said and done.

And so it begins…..again:

I took a side by side comparison picture to get a visual of the differences between the side ports (for the fog light placement). The newer version (top) has different mounting brackets for the fog lights; however, I’ve heard of others running the original ‘94-96 Stealth fog lights (the lights are the same, the mounting brackets are different) (the ‘94-98 3000GT fog light placement is even further off from these two versions) with the '99 style bumper. The fog lights fit into the inner curve of the side openings:

Here are the two mounting bracket versions:

'94-96 Stealth version (these two are identical but look different lengths as the one on the right still has the plastic shroud over it which is propping it up - I have 2 sets of these as at one point I bought a set of '99 fog lights off of someone only to receive a set of '94-96 Stealth ones):

That is the only 'finished' pic I have as I haven't put the car back onto the ground yet to get some distance shots; and, I still have a few more things to finish up before this round 2 bumper project is truly finished; but, the majority of the work is done. Here is a 'before' pic (before all of this even started) for appearance reference:

I'll play too!

After doing the freeze run it was really clear that the brakes werent working at 100%, so after hunting down gaskets, a rebuild of all 4 calipers, along with braided stainless lines for good measure. I think every caliper had at least one frozen piston and one had three... thank god Porsche brakes are usually way over specced

Turned the broken ash tray door into something more useful (dont mind my moisture management system)

Didnt get any pictures of wrestling the passenger door card off but was able to change out the motor/computer on that side so now the water management system might not be needed as much.
