Official Computer Talk Thread

U can see him cheating in that video lol.

the servers are still open on pc. Just hard to find a good game.

i have an asus t100ta tablet running windows 10. ive done a quick search to see if i can run android on it. seems like its impossible. id probably use it more if i could.

i updated to 10 long ago. it works i just wanted android apps and easier use for the kids.

Oh gotcha.

Kids should be happy with whatever they get :giggle: How old are they? If they are younger I can see Android being easier for them.

4 and 6. we got them leap pads a couple years ago but they are kind of difficult to get things like netflix working on them. should have just got two cheap android tablets.

Not sure how it took me this long to notice, but the forum is still on http??? Why no TLS?
should be forcing it now across the forum. It just may break on old pages where users have uploaded http pics.

Was your bookmark was from the past? If so it may show as http, but if you click it you’ll still be redirected to https. If you make a bookmark now it should show https

It's been https:// for a while. I'll remove it and re-add it.

... I'm embarrassed to say this ... but uh... I'm building my first enthusiast machine for myself after years of cobbling together leftover parts into machines for my various jobs. I'm doing this in conjunction with my new ISP which will be installed tomorrow (Gigabit up and down).

I've been researching a lot, but I'm still not 100% sure that I'm putting a good machine together. I also am not keen on what video card chipsets are good. Just from parsing through this thread, I see that a lot of you guys have done this several times-- so if you have some time, could you pick out any errors with my parts list? I know how to install parts-- I've just never been in a position to build anything remotely nice.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory )
Storage: Western Digital Blue 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (will add more later)
Video Card: MSI Radeon RX 5500 XT 8 GB MECH OC Video Card
Case: Thermaltake Core G21 Tempered Glass Edition ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Total: $1039.91

Are there specific games you’re wanting to use this computer for? That will usually determine what graphics card would be best suited
