What exhaust you have again?

Full Race.

It could be a leak I guess. The noise is only on cold start ups and while starting off in first gear.

Now the question is it on the header itself, the test pipe to header connection, or the test pipe to exhaust connect? :giggle: I didn't see any unusual blackening when I was under there, so who knows.

I'll try spraying everything with some copper spray when I get a chance and see if that changes anything.

All I heard about the Kiddracing header is the welding issue (from 8th). I doubt that the full race exhaust is giving you the issues.

Cool let us know how it goes! You might want to check your full race resonator. There are plenty of ppl on 8th that's resonator has blown. It has a rattling sound on cold starts and you exhaust will be a little louder and will start to get louder and louder. Check heat shields and header bolts to the head.

The Kidd racing header is ok long as it will welded but someone that knows what they doing.

I didn't have the header welded myself (bought it used) so I can't attest to the quality of the weld but they looked thorough from the inspection I gave it. It's not the full race, thankfully. The only reason I know this is because this noise never occurred until the day I installed the header (about a year ago lol), plus the noise is coming more from the front of the car.

I'll let you guys know if I ever find anything.

Ok good well that's good it's not the EXHAUT but I would still check just to make sure. You know what you should do, one day get under the car and hit the exhaust while the car is off and listen to see if it rattles!

Do you have an 8th? Do you have a rear mount? I had rattle when I put my header on, was on startup and instances when the engine moved a lot. Got a 62a rear mount and it solved the problem. Gotta live with the more pronounced vibrations until it breaks in though. Small detail...lol

Yes, an 8th gen. I have a hasport rear 70a. The vibrations aren't terrible but I sometimes wish I would've went with the 62a.

I took out a dent from the bottom rear bumper and put most of it back on since it was hanging off since I got rear ended yesterday)):

Were you able to get the ding back to new? (Popping?)

Yeah I wasn't sure which to go with but in the end I'm happy I went with the 62a. I think it is definitely noticeable over stock vibrations and wouldn't want more.

Yea but half of the clips/hanger things that hold the bumper off either broke or fell off and theirs a bunch of scratches all over it, the guy who hit me, which is my friend, is payin for it though wasn't his fault, it was an old lady driving in front of us, long story short she technically was involved in it for her car came in contact with mine and did a hit and run by definition of law

Sorry to hear it's going to cost and involve more.......
Just for interest, I'm seeing where the lead car(woman) stopped short, which didn't give you time to stop without tapping her, but by you trying not to hit her you had to brake hard, which lead to your friend rear ending you, which left him at fault for following to close......

If this is the case, she's wrong for leaving the scene, but you and your friend are both at fault for following too close, if there was contact. was there any mark on the front of your car, if not than your friend is left holding the bag......... But if he's "A friend", I wouldn't make him pay the whole cost, since both of you were following to close.

In any chain reaction rear ends, everyone that causes damage to the car in front of them are charged with following too close.......

Hope you get it back to normal soon...... That's one thing I hate in my area with all the Deer running around, and that's ppl following me to close, in case I need to make a avoidance stop to keep from hit a darting Deer.

I usually never tail gate, reason being that on our Si and probably pc and ex, you can even see the front end of the car so I tend to keep more distance than normal Just to be safe, and the woman just stopped completely for no reason too, there was no car in front of her and she was half way turned into a gas station which she didn't even get gas and she was just blocking the area and I didn't know she was going to.just completely stop half way in though I guess it is my fault partly for assuming she would keep turning in

Comes with time and luck, You've learned a new one Don't assume....... Another along this line, when waiting to turn left and cross a lane of traffic, and the car waiting to do the same goes....... we need to wait till there is enough room between the back of their car, so if they stop we won't have our car stuck out in the on coming lane......
basically don't go when they go........... And don't move at all till you know you are going to go all the way, or the car behind you will rear end YOU.
