Nice choices. The blue acara should be a great fit , they seem to be a mellow CA/SA cichlid. Also your watersprite needs to have the roots exposed. The rock wool in the basket is purely for shipping purposes. I would take it out and remove it underwater that way it doesn't become a mess in your tank. If you want to anchor it you can tie it to the rock with some monofilament or some sewing thread.

Yeah, we used to have a male & female blue acara. I loved them so much.

I'm working on removing the water sprite. I don't have enough crushed coral on the bottom of the tank right now so that's why it's still sitting there LOL I'm probably heading to the other LFS now to see what else they've got.

Here are a few pics of my tank, its my first...There are 9 Amano shrimp, 1 Dwarf Pleco, 2 Neon Tetras and 5 Blue Tetras....its a pretty basic setup as I don't have a lot of space for a large one....yet :)

Big EBJD not for sale...store owners pet. It kept following me but evaded photos

You forgot to mention that this guy was in a planted Discus tank. It was raised as fry with discus so it wouldn't be eaten by other cichlids, and never got aggressive. Has MANY freshwater fish in there which would usually be snacks for a JD of any variety!

Yup, baby 2" albino bristlenose pleco. They're not that uncommon, the regular brown ones are more popular though. We've had 4 brown ones over time. Needed a change :)

Nice, I just remembered the name of mine, it's - a bushynose pleco. I really that albino, will consider that for next time.

I just noticed today that my ramhorn smail doesn't seem to be feeling to well, he's been laying in the same spot for a while now, def still alive tho....any suggestions anyone? He just came in on some plants from a month or so ago, grew big time and has been ok until last night/today...he's always ripping around the tank cleaning the glass. :(

10 fish strong. I finally got the tank population up after the water change incident back in January/February

Looks good!

My blue acara is a hyper little mothertrucker.

I have to do a water change after all these trips. The water is a bit yellow from the driftwood. I did boil it and all was good for a few days.
Everyone seems happy though :D

Just added more crushed coral to the tank and a new dwarf hairgrass. I'll post pics once everything settles down and I've planted it :)
