Post up your fish tanks/aquariums!

Yeah when I got him, he looked dinged up and stuff, which stinks because they are such cool fish. But hopefully with a proper setup and a spacier tank he's gonna heal up right

I'm pretty sure bettas are the only fish Ill get because theyre so hardy. I wish i could, but I could never keep up with all the tanks like the ones on this thread! lol

A work in progress...

Looks great! You should look into attaching some anubis to the Driftwood.
I've thought about attaching something to it. After spending hours searching on ebay, etc... I was so proud of that "stump" when I found it at the LFS. I couldn't wait to get it into my tank.
I'm going to need a good trimming set, any recommendations?

I would go for longer tools. I ordered mine off of doctors foster and smith. Stainless of course.

The little rotkeil isn't a fan of eating flakes...he always sucks them in then spits them out. As soon as the baby blue acara sees that he's done this, he darts across the tank and sucks up the food because the rotkeil can change his mind. I try and supplement with some bloodworms occasionally that the rotkeil will keep in

Just went to feed the 4 betta fish this morning and the little black baby betta was floating dead. That was sudden

May have been a runt that was old. The average life span of a betta is 3-5 years. By the time most people purchase them they are 1.5 to 2 years old. $hit happens

Finally got my 125's sump upgraded to a 55. Roughly 160 gallons water volume.

Had a question for ya please.
I have a rena Xp2 on my 55. I hate the spray wand. Do you have any recommendations on what to upgrade the input/output "stuff" with? I like the design of the FX5 feed and spray device.. just not got the funds for the FX5 right now. I have two XP3's for the 110 which I'd accomodate a similar setup on..

That tank makes the 55 look tiny. lol

I used pvc and the right fittings plus clear tubing. I recommend clear tubing so you can see when cleaning needs to be done. The benifits to the pvc is cheapness and customization. If you are going for a spray bar start with smaller holes and increase the diameter of the holes after each test run. Intake tubes are very tricky to fabricate if the openings are not the same on intake and return .If the openings are not the same you can collapse the tubing causing little to no flow. If you dont want a spray bar get some pvc and heat it up and bend it into a jet end. Your options are endless.

I'm fine with the intake, but the return (would like to get away from the spray bar) is what I want to redo.

*edit* looks like Rena sell a jet nozzle.. hmm

I have made a few out of pvc. You just dont glue the parts so they are adjustable. You can create two, three, four jet heads. Just use a heat gun and some pliers to mold the pvc into a pinched end. When i get home i will see if I can find a picture of the ones I had made. Drs. Foster and smith sell the jet ends as well. You might even be able to find it in the irrigation section at home depot or lowes.

I'm dealing with a bunch of algae in my tank at the moment. The little bristlenose can't keep up with it. I've cleaned it off the walls...but I might have 2 or 3 different types at the moment (or maybe just one)

very micro-thin stringy stuff on the plants...BRIGHT green/blue web looking stuff on the crushed coral, rocks and driftwood (and a little on a couple plants)
