What do you do at work? (pics)

Just a sergeant in the army, so I guess most of my job at work is personnel management. But I'm a heavy wheeled vehicle operator by title.....which I don't do too much anymore now that I'm basically middle management...

Well I'm a Journeyman Steamfitter/Pipefitter. No pictures since phones are never allowed on site but basically just put circles together lol. Job includes anything to do with power/process piping like fabricating, rigging, installing, and maintaining it. Not my dream job but it's good money around these parts.

I'm a Receptionist and IT/Hardware/Dental Equipment Tech at work-- which is a Dental Office. Basically, if something breaks, I usually have to fix it. On the side ( Which is hilarious, because it's what I studied in college, and received a degree in) I do illustrations by commission.

I'd post pictures, but we can't have phones out at work. :/

My mom was doing the same thing until recently. Shes looking for a new job, but she seems to enjoy it. Shes been an rn for several years now

@fahnix @Honda-Fan - You both are in the IT field correct? What do you two do if you don't mind sharing :)

I'm a desktop tech for a secret employer. ;)

I'm also a Desktop Tech! I work for an also secret University in Texas. I'm apart of a small team that helps most of the schools on campus with software and hardware issues. :)

Same. Desktop Tech. I bounce around as I typically take contract work, but I like the current company I'm at, so I may actually accept the offer to go permanent when my contract is up.

:giggle: @ secret. I work for the local government.

Nice. Do they typically ask you if you want to go permanent if they have openings?

Usually. Last 2 spots I've gone perm. The one prior to that I just didn't want to stay around. Wasn't really happy with the environment.

I work with things that go boom for the military as a contractor. I enjoy this job to the point where i don't mind waking up to go to work each day but the pay could always be better until i make inspector. I'm a warehouse specialist currently and it will take about 4-5 years before i can potentially move up depending on availability and all that. I have considered the IT field for school, is it really worth it?

glad u finally found something man. And that’s badass. Don’t blow yourself up though!!!!

@bauer311 The IT field can be cool, but there's a lot of hype, too. Most hypesters fail to mention how to get enough experience to get a decent position. Unfortunately for most of us, the way you get IT experience is serving time--

in a C A L L C E N T E R.
