What Were Your Past Cars?

there were 3 threads merged. One was posting your first car, and 2 were past cars you've owned.. in the 1st car one, some were still posting every vehicle they owned. So, I just merged them together.

Past vehicles, huh? Geez, can I remember that far back?

'73 Buick Electra Limited (handed down)
'76 Pontiac Catalina (grad present)
'81 Ford Escort hatchback (1st car I bought on my own)
'80 Ford Fiesta (after the Escort finally coughed up its last bit of smoke)
An old, used Chevrolet Caprice
'91 Chevrolet S10 (new) (the only pickup I've owned)
'88 Dodge Aries (After the S10 was involved in 3 accidents in one year, I considered it possessed. Traded it in on my wife's Dodge Shadow. I got her old car.)
'94 Dodge Caravan (Yup, about the time the kids started coming)
'96 Dodge Neon (a fun car that I drove the crap out of for a year)
'97 Chevy Venture (Son #3 really made the Neon a mis-fit for us)
'05 Pontiac Montana SV6 (white, new)
'08 Chrysler Town & Country (new) (was close between a GMC Acadia, and a Honda Odyssey)
'12 Honda Civic EX-L and '12 Honda Civic EX

Most of the vehicles we've owned, we have purchased used (1 or 2 years old) and covered with extended warranties. The Aries was my wife's first new car. Hated to see that one go . . . really liked that car a lot. She traded that in on a one-year-old Ford Contour, which later was traded in on a 2000 Olds Intrigue, which currently sits in our driveway. She now drives a '09 Toyota Venza, which is leased until next April.

Yeah, I'm LOVIN' NOT driving a minivan any more!!!

My last ride. Hopefully selling it this week

'69 Buick Skylark with a 350 Rocket (not stock) and 12 bolt posi. Old school fun. When it ran.
'76 Monte Carlo, my first carb rebuilt when I was 18
'78 Yamaha 650 special (another guy added bikes, so I will too)
1987 Ford Escort EXP, their little 2-seater Friends called it the Muscort. First manual tranny (other than a bike)
1992 Isuzu pickup. $6,000 new with no bumper or stereo
1993 Saturn (needed a car to put in a baby seat)
1986 Camaro (v6, not the cool one. At least it had t-tops)
1998 Dodge Dakota (guessing on the year, but it was not a good car overall)
1999 HD Sportster
1991 Jeep Wrangler (would still have it if a kid hadn't hit it and totaled it)
2001 HD Softail Nightrain
2003 Nissan 350Z (best car I ever owned)
2001 Ducati 900SS (wasn't mature enough to own it)
2001 Toyota 4-runner (4cyl, 4wd, the biggest piece of crap I've owned)
2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi (most capable car I've ever owned)
2003 Suzuki SV-650
2003 Ford Explorer Sporttrac (inherited from my wife, was her daily driver for a few years)
2006 HD Vrod
2009 Kawasaki KLR 650
2012 Civic SI

I'm not sure all those years are quite right. What I realized writing this down is I've only purchased vehicles with manual transmissions since about '92. Not a single automatic bought in that range. My wife has owned a number of automatics but every vehicle I've bought has been a stick. Interesting. Maybe my daughter is right and I really am cheap. :)

I don't really have pictures of most of them, except for the Sporttrac that I painted flat black last summer.

When I first got my license I drove a 1983 Chevette, and occassionaly my sister's or her husband's car when I could.
Bought a used 1989 Civic LX Sedan.
After about 3 months, traded the '89 Civic in for my first new car 1997 Civic LX Sedan. My mom co-signed, but to this day, my dad never knew.
wanted a truck so I bought a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Xtracab and had 2 cars for a few years
Sold my '97 Civic to my dad and bought a 2005 Civic Hybrid Manual (my dad recently totaled the Civic. He was never a fan of "foreign" cars, but replaced the Civic with a Fit)
Decided I didn't need two cars anymore, so I traded the '04 Tacoma, and the '05 Civic Hybrid in on a 2008 Pilot EX-L.
Decided it was time to down-size, so I bought the 2012 Civic Si Sedan

^^ Ouch! :(

I see it doesn't have front plates... Did you just get it when you got into an accident??
