Before I mess something up, does anyone know how to adjust the guidelines on the iMid display?
You can get to this setup screen by first pressing the "menu" button on the steering wheel, then holding down the "menu" & "source" buttons at the same time.
After holding for about 5 seconds, the diagnostic menu comes up. Scroll down to "camera", then you get this screen with a red marker dot and an X and Y coordinate reading.
How do you make adjustments to bring the guidelines down from the default setting?
Is there a procedure for setting an object at a certain distance from the bumper to calibrate the guidelines?

Without adjustment, the guidelines are too high on the image. I need to be able to bring them down on the road instead of up in the sky.

I don't think there is any kind of auto adjustment, but you can adjust the line when in the black screen with the lines and the red dot.
Pressing the middle button of the left pad of the steering wheel moves the red dot to each end of each line, you can then you the d-pad on the steering wheel to move the ends of the lines wherever you'd like.
After a long time of moving the lines, I adjusted mine so that the side yellow lines match up with the wheels perfectly, and the middle yellow lines are in intervals of 5 feet.
You can do this by placing objects in specific points behind your car, then adjusting the lines to match the objects.

I have the power cable spliced into the reverse light .
So the red plugged wire (camera's Power Connector") shown here is tapped into the reverse light.image.jpg

And my yellow plugged wire ("Video Signal Connector") looks like this.

My question is which wires go to which pins?

Here is ADEX's diagram.

from your "yellow plugged wire" the yellow goes to pin #19, the black goes to pin #18
the your red plugged wire will go to pin #14.

your camera and wires are different from mine, but if i'm understanding you correctly, then what i said above should work.
Let me know...

Hmmmmm. Are you sure? There are 2 wires in the red plugged wire: positive AND negative. I thought these would be the wires that would be connected to pins #14 and #18. If I am wrong then which of these two wires goes to #14?

I'm really not sure now. if the yellow and red wires both have a black wire coming from them, then i dont know...
Like i said, mine was different.
if your outside with the dash taken apart and everything, i would just keep trying different set ups until you see what works.

I'm thinking that the red plugged (positive and negative) wire is hooked to pins #14 (positive) and #18 ( negative/ground). Then I'm going to try to connect the yellow wire from of the yellow plugged wire (Video signal wire) to pin#19.

Not sure if I used the same pins as everyone else. There was no audible click sound and they were not pushed in far enough. Once pushed in far enough I finally got the connection.
