Nice! :) what made ya get an STi?

Death_Roll showed me what AWD can do on those mountain roads and i havent been the same since.;) The truth is after driving my RDX with that great SH-AWD system. I had a great respect for AWD. With the weather here as well more usable more of the time for me.

am glad to hear from you again. I remember the smoking brakes LOL

It's true, today, I left the Subaru family

was........

fresh off the dealer lot this morning..........

That is a nice pick up. Most auto journalist like the Fiesta ST more than the focus. Ford also sandbags the heck out of its power numbers.

Since the MS3 i've gone though a few changes as well.

I traded in the MS3 for this, which was really fun. A non PP SHO, but i wanted a little more.

So i went with this, a PP SHO, and really enjoyed this car. Fast as heck no matter what gear you were in, shifted when you told it to, and suprised a lot of people autoX'ing.

As fun as the car was it was really limited in how far i could take it racing. With my kids karting we would going to be at the track more so i went with the STi. I wanted something simple, durable, and highly upgrade-able. I considered the evo but i'm still not sure how much longer Mitusu will be around.

Why is everyone wanting to jump on the ST bandwagon? Just wondering....

Most of the talk from people have driven it is that it is more fun and it power more usable in every day situations. Given it has really light weight, great chassis & underrated power makes it a great street car. Not the best on a track but thats not what every is looking for.

The FiST is not really about power. Sure it'll move you along at Civic Si speeds, but its really about handling. It turns and feels light doing it. The WRX was like trying to turn a fat woman away from a buffet

Imagine your car with ETFs mods on it making about 190whp, that's the best idea of what the ST is. I really can't wait to drive one.

Keith, I know you had the WRX for a while, but how long do you think you'll own the ST? The only reason I wonder is that for me, the car might not have staying power because it's a fwd hatch, and many people can't get attached to a small hatchback like they would a sportscar or musclecar.

I just hope a few months later, I'll look at a BRZ (or even Mustang gt) and not kick myself for buying a 'more desirable' car for a bit more money.

hahaha, well I've owned the car 27 hours so far, so it's hard to predict anything. HAHAHAHAH But I got the car for auto-x and since it will compete against Civic Si, base Mini, Volvo C30 and all generic cars, I'm planning on keeping it for a long time (no engine tuning) as I assume it will perform awesomely. Now saying that, I can't say what you'll like or not. You keep saying you want a RWD car, but you just had one and got rid of it. I'm pretty sure that you have said that you don't want a Mustang/Camaro, so not sure where you'll go.

I got rid of the G because it was using too much oil than I wanted to put in it every 3-4 weeks.

I plan on test driving a Mustang GT, seeing if they have any leftover 2014s or good used 2012/13s once the 2015 hits dealers, but I never drove a newer Mustang so I want to see if the car feels too heavy.

And no on the Camaro, I just don't like them, or the Challengers.

So Keith the FiST is a weekend/autox car right? You have a DD? Murano you said.
correct
Correct with the murano

I had all seasons for the WRX as that was also snow/AWD option. With the Murano having AWD, I was free to get any toy I wanted and not worry about getting around in the winter. Ill likely buy all seasons for the fiesta this coming fall

5.0 is fantastic - with the watts link rear end it doesn't feel heavy and sloppy. Camaro SS is fun, but prefer the 5.0. Challenger sucked balls 10x compared to the other two.

Lots of good times in this guy:

I've said it before that the 5.0 with correct mods and 18x10/18x11 wheels is better value for money, and will outperform an e92 M3.

Hpmh.... I've been trying to get my wife to buy one. I think it would be awesome. Besides, with an x-pipe and some loud flowmasters who would expect a slim asian girl to get out of that car? Lexus/bmw/audi are all expected choices. I bet she would get some looks in a loud stang. Although now that i've talked up the BMW so much, in trying to convince her that I should buy a used race car one like yours, she is dead set on the new 2 series. Which of course we can't afford. hahaha.

I would like the new M235i - That will be a smart ride. A used 135 is pretty affordable now though.. just no LSD :(
