Dave here. Just purchased a 2014 Civic EX-L Navi, White Orchid Pearl. I traded in my 2012 Accord EX-L V6, same color. My wife had had three wrecks in the Accord, two not her fault, one carelessness. I had had a 2006 Civic EX which I traded in for the Accord. The Accord was really nice but I just missed my Civic. Especially the fuel economy. also, after having small cars for so long, the Accord felt HUGE. Anyway, have 5 days in the Civic and it is great. About everything I wished my 8th gen had is in this car!. Other than Homelink, power pass. seat and memory drvr seat, I have everything the Accord had. I was dubious about CVT but have had no issues with it. I doubt I will try The Tail of the Dragon in this car though. Actually, I got on that road unknowingly last month in the Accord. when I realized what I had gotten into, The kid in me took hold. I was pushing my sedan as hard as I dare, trying to keep up with SI's and a couple S2000's. My wife almost threw up! Of course, I pulled over often so as not to get in the way of those behind me. I got a laugh and a thumbs up from one photographer who hollered "way to go grandpa!" ( I'm 65 but young at heart.)
I will probably be conservative in my mods, I've put on the rear bumper film and the door film,(the dealer couldn't do it, ruined one so I told him just get me the kits and i'll install myself, I've done it before. Also, It may not be kosher but I am going to put on the red " R-Type" emblems front and back just because I think the red would look good on the white pearl. After all, I'm an old goat and I can always attribute my lack of "cool" to senility... :) I hope this first post was not too boring.

Hello all,
Haven't bought the car yet, but will be buying one soon. Did some research and the 2014 civic si sedan seems like the right car for me. First new car, first honda, first time in a forum lol, and my girl knows about cars more than I do =/. With all that said, it's nice to be here and learn from threads, while quietly observing so I don't sound dumb.

Hi everyone I'm jerry !
I'm from the great pacific north west , I currently own a 8th gen and a dc5. But I recently picked up a 12' civic si took me a quite a while to find it. Future plans for the car is to make it a full track car. The car is on Gsp mono max coils and rpf1 17x9 35et.
Currently don't know much about the car but hopefully I find a better understanding of the car through the forums !

Hey guys/gals I'm Christian. Well thats my middle name and what i go by outside of work. Just traded in my 2012 Gti for a 2014 TW Si Sedan w/navi. The VW was a good car but with only 22k mils on her I had to replace rusted rotors/pads, 3 tires ($456 a pop) and a bunch of little issues every few months. I got sick of putting money into a car that still was under warranty but wear and tear items decided to go bad. So decided to get back into the Si. I am 28 years old active duty air force member since 2005. Currently stationed in Boston, MA where I am from (Lucky break).

I am a bit of a car guy because since age 16 I have had 13 cars in tota. I have had cars such as Civic LX (2), Srt4 (3), Isuzu Trooper, G35, Sti, Si (2), Xterra, Suburban, Tahoe. I don't drive them much and usually get rid of them after 2 years. I commute to work which is .4 miles away (perks of military) so my cars either sit in garage or at work parking lot. I don't plan on doing much to the Si besides cosmetic word (Red H, Tint). But I def will come check out the DIY to see if any little projects spark my attention.

Hello everyone. My name is Chris. I just picked up my 2014 DBP Si Sedan 2 weeks ago and I was in love with it since I saw it sitting in the showroom at the dealer. This is my first Si, but I am not new to Honda. I also own a 2010 Civic Ex Coupe and a 97 EX coupe that is my ongoing project car with a supercharged D16Y8.

Hello everyone, I go by Slick and I purchased my 2014 Honda Civic Si (Orange Fire Pearl) in May and I am rounding up a project with it already and can wait to share. I am new to this forum and I am also new to working on cars and hope that when I post my project I don't get eaten alive by the guru's and professionals. :D I am glad I signed up here and the site looks very professional and well thought out and cant wait to start being a real member. :domokundance::dogdance: I guess I need to work on a signature at some point if I can use one. Oh yeah BTW I am new to forums as well this is my very first forum post anywhere on the internet for anything so be gentle if my etiquette has some bumps and bruises, but I can take constructive criticism, so do whip me into shape if I messed something up obvious. :banana whip2:

This is my Second Honda and my first Si!

Thanks for hearing me out,
Slick

Greetings, I’m Rick and I just purchased a 2014 Civic SI Sedan Dyno Blue Pearl. This is far from my 1st Honda as I’ve been buying Honda’s since 1978. It was a Honda Civic (cvcc) Hondamatic which may have cost $2800. My new Civic SI was not on my new car purchase radar. As you can tell I’m a little on the old side and I was looking to replace my 1999 Accord EX 4cyl 5 spd with 200k miles with a nice new Accord EX-L V6 sedan. While at the dealer my son and I decided to give the Civic SI coupe a spin around the block. The moment I pushed the SI’s Start/Start button I knew the Accord sedan was out. The Si had absolutely nothing on my list of new car required features…nothing, but that 5 minute spin had me hook line and sinker. So I went on a hunt for the SI sedan. I called every dealer in New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona and Nebraska. I found a Dyno Blue SI sedan in Omaha NE last Thursday, bought it over the phone, bought a plane ticket from Denver to Omaha for $42.00, handed Honda Cars of Bellevue a check and drove home on Saturday.

Hey all. Just bought a 2012 Si Sedan three weeks ago. Just got it back today after getting some storm damage to the paint repaired along with a new windshield. :(
Coming from the Subaru world, which I am grateful to [almost] be out of. Currently trying to sell my 2008 WRX to make up for the Si purchase!
This forum/community seems to be a much more helpful and less n00bful place than the Subaru forums, which is greatly appreciated!
Before the WRX I had a 2008 Civic sedan, which I missed a lot while I drove the WRX but the 2012 Si is amazing! I love it.

A [real] picture of my WRX and two [cellphone] pictures of my Civic!
