Sounds like some fun I have not fired up our pit all year. The Carolina vs duke basketball game comes on an less than a hour.

It was a good time. My dad and I drank a few Yuengling's and my wife, mom and sister had some wine. My dad was trying to be nice and bought Peach Wine but my sister and mom didn't care for it lol

Fire pit is on my list of things to do. But there's quite a bit of stuff in front of it. Got a flag pole up today on the garage and I'll be seeding and feeding the yard tomorrow. All in all a productive weekend. Also with all these trips to Lowe's lately...may be considering a truck instead of a civic again. I hate to say it, but a truck would come in handy pretty often for me.

Whenever we buy a house the wife definitely wants a decent back yard so we can have a fire pit.

Nice

What made ya do rock on the fire pit side?

Also I'm a diva so I'd have to have central A/C. Sorry I noticed the AC unit in the window.

This is still our starter home. So, we had to make some compromises. Also, we have baseboard heaters which means no duct work and no ability to easily add central air.

The rock was a combination of cost savings considerations and not wanting to have to maintain any vegetation. What you don't see is the fence behind the purple chair and the garage to the right of the picture. This was not a cheap project by any means (all done DIY, btw). The whole area was grass before (minus a walkway) and totals about 1,800 sqft...making the patio/pea gravel area bigger than our house.

Oh yeah! I remember you posting about the process of making the patio.

I've never had a house.... but the wife has lived in the current house for around 11 years so the next house won't be a starter house she said.
