@ronv the rail is definitely done and I don't want to compromise the structure further. I ended up putting bolts with nuts through the spot weld holes and was able to pull the bent pieces on the outside of the rail back flat up against the core support. It is on the bottom half, but it all helps so glad I was able to do something for that.

@webby I have messed with the lights a little bit as far as moving that one bolt hole in and out to adjust the light. I haven't checked the one on the far side yet, but once I get the bumper fixed up hopefully I can fix it up a bit. I plan to go to the junkyard soon and then I'll take notes of where they are placed so I can fix mine. Thanks for the insight Webby! Also, people said there are clips on the bottom of the headlights, but I have no idea what they were talking about. They linked to a page, but it just gave an error. I was discussed in this thread on HT.

I’d have to see it, but it doesn’t look like there are “clips” on the frame for the light housing. I’m not seeing anything on the parts diagram.



I looked at the bumper piece to see if it had parts showing, and it doesn’t appear there are “clips” on that diagram either.

I finally got my 9th Gen back and they ended up painting the A pillars, Hood, Roof, Trunk, Spoiler/lip, and both front fenders. Sorry for all of the photos, but here it is. They also removed the pin stripe.

No pinstripe = win (my opinion). Glad the diagram worked. Were you able to get part numbers from that? Paint looks good from the pics.

Up until the time I went to the Dealership I thought the pin stripe was factory. I had no idea, but it looks so good without that pin stripe. When should I be able to wash the car? Not sure if anything needs to cure or for how long. I actually just pulled the pieces off from another vehicle at the junkyard. Here is a photo. Still messing with the fitment to try and get it as good as I can. I'll also post the wire tuck. This is my first ever wire tuck, so if it is horrible I'm sorry. lol The loom is a bit big, but I'll redo it later on. Everything is protected nonetheless. I'll replace the zip tie and put a clip higher up in the future so it is not too low.

Your 9th looks great! No pinstripe is way better imo. And the sedan is coming along great too.

Thanks man! It's not a full wire tuck, just the passenger side since a lot of the wires were cut up. I think it looks a little bit better so I'm happy with it for now. Maybe I'll do a full one in the future. Next things to come for the sedan is maintenance. I need to eliminate some of the oil leaks and change out rack and pinion. I'm really happy about that pin stripe being gone. I didn't think it would make a big difference, but it makes it look better!

you just don't want to apply any type of wax/sealant on the car for a minimum of 60 days while the paint cures. You can wash it. Just be aware that it is still very soft at this point.

I just used google and went from there. lol Also, the car was also screwed up and if I screwed up then... well... it can't be any worse and it actually turned out better. I won't dare mess with my wires on my 9th gen though.

The car drove fine the first day I got it, aside from basic and general maintenance that was not taken care of by the previous owner(s). There is no rust and the pink says it is a clean title. Ironically. If I come across another car I like I will more than likely get rid of the 95 Civic. No matter what I do with it, it has already given me the ability to DIY on something that I am not afraid to mess up and it expands my knowledge.

I would like to get a Jeep because the last time I tried camping I couldn't even make it to the campsite before I bottomed out.

Update. I sold the 95 EG for 1K. Glad I got that much for it considering, but I let her go better than I found her so that's good. Needed the money, I'm trying to get through schooling for my Class A drivers license to drive 18 wheelers. If all goes well I should have my license at the end of next week.

I took my test for my class A license today and passed! Time to get a mentor and learn the way of a trucker. This is a great opportunity to make some good money so hopefully in the coming months I should have some stuff coming up.

From what I've heard being a trucker can be a great job with the amount of work but also can be tiring with the long hours (of course that can be the case with any job). My grandfather was a truck driver for 30+ years for a local company here in Maryland. He would do long distance trips to California/West Coast and down to the South. I went on a trip with him once to New York City. Wow that was interesting to say the least. He had to time it so he was arriving early in the morning so there would be less traffic/people walking the streets (which there still was) so he could get his truck backed into the dock at the warehouse he needed to drop off the equipment.

I worked on loading docks at transportation warehouses for years down here in so cal. For one of the biggest grocery chains here. Def a gnarly job especially with the traffic down here but no shortage of work.
