Air Deflector For LX Coupe

Wondering if anyone has had experience (good/bad) with the air deflector.

Planning a long road trip in my new Civic and am trying to minimize the damage to my car.

My concerns are the rocks and road debris that comes flying towards the vehicle. I know it's not 100% fool-proof, just wanted to mitigate the nicks and dings to the vehicle.

Thanks.

Even though this is not what you asked for, it will bump this thread, so while we wait for your answer, as a retired Semi driver one of the best ways to go easy on road debris hitting your car is to develope a habit of 2 sec. or more following distance....... also might want to look into a bra......

Definitely. I try to steer as far back or away from the big boys on the open road as much as possible.

another quick solution is painters tape. Even if you have the deflector

cover the areas on the front bumper/hood/side mirrors... even the a-pillar. Get back from the trip and just peel it off to find a nice clean car.

may look funny, but it's actually quite effective. A lot of users apply it at track events, or traveling long distance

That's actually a pretty good idea. I"m still getting the deflector, and will probably tape it just for the added protection.
