New wheel bearings installed. I put them in the freezer the night before. But I allowed them to defrost a bit since the freezing surface was hardening the anti seize lubricant. No, I didn't coat the trailing arms with anti rust since I'm not concerned about the rust on that area. It's a cast steel alloy (probably forged) so rust won't penetrate through it that easily compared to stamped steel.

These are expensive hardware...IMG_20170504_130200414.jpgThe output shafts got a bit of POR15 treatment.IMG_20170505_114258459.jpg IMG_20170504_195622565.jpg IMG_20170504_203634231.jpg IMG_20170505_094633310.jpgThe rear sway bar was also cleaned up and coated with POR15.
IMG_20170503_152312812.jpgNew endlinks and endlink brackets (not pictured).IMG_20170505_191126817.jpg
The axle nuts are also brand new and torqued down to spec using my new 1/2" torque wrench.

Small update. I purchased a dash cam with GPS from Amazon. It looks similar to my Garmin Dashcam that's on my FG2.

The product is nicely packaged. It comes with a ton of accessories for mounting and hardwiring.

It's a rainy day today, so I installed the Dashcam. I got it hardwired to the sunroof which made it a simple installation.

I've painted many wheels so I'm used to it. :D

I will not bake the them this time since i will be applying 2K clear coat. It will cure and harden in a normal environment (with humidity under 50%). I'll probably just lay them under the sun for a few hours.

I'm putting the wheels on the back burner for now.

I did end up installing the clutch stainless steel line.
IMG_20170519_134815862.jpg IMG_20170519_143522367.jpgI also repainted the front of the valve cover, painted the oil filter housing cap (not pictured), and installed a catch can.IMG_20170519_224459506.jpg

And a wash and engine bay cleaning. I removed the front lip for now since it doesn't clear the jack and I'll need to lift the car up again when I get the BBS wheels finished and installed.

Wheel painting continued.

After I stripped down the paint, I wrapped all the tires using one heavy duty garbage bag. I cut the bag horizontally into four parts (with the bottom snipped off). The bags fit nice and snug.

These tires are the same overall diameter as the ones for 8th and 9th gens btw.

I wiped them down with grass, tar, wax remover.IMG_20170525_134638475.jpg
Primed using PlastiKote/Valspar self etching primer.IMG_20170525_175018402.jpg
Sprayed with Rustoleum Graphite base coat.IMG_20170525_192210308.jpg
And finished with Rustoleum high heat clear for the inner wheel and 2K Glamour Gloss for the front face.IMG_20170526_150235239.jpg
I'll post pics of the wheels on the car tomorrow since I'm working on an exhaust leak and the gasket maker will need curing time. So the car will remain in the garage overnight.
