I believe KennyGS put them on his 'vette. Overall it gets rated as a very good tire. The Conti reviews seem to always be split with people either hating or loving the tire. I have also consistently read that Conti tires have soft sidewalls so the ride and steering don't feel as precise.

What's the price difference? I think it really is going to depend if you want a comfortable tire for driving everyday with the occasional track/auto-x/spirited session or a tire that is strictly performance. The PSS is the performance tire and I think the conti will be a nicer everyday tire. That's what I gather from reading several reviews. I had almost bought them before but I ended up going with a dunlop cause it was on special, and they aren't that great.

I ended up buying another set of wheels, and mounting Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 for my performance driving needs.

My current wheels on the vette will have the crappy Nitto Invo removed, and Michelin PSS installed in their place. These will be my daily drivers.

There is no doubt in my mind that Michelin is always the superior tire in comparison to it's peers.
 
so if they're good enough for Ken's DD, then they're perfect for my performance tires lol
I was thinking and I might wait until next year anyways...summer is halfway gone already :/
 
I've read a lot of tire reviews, specifically about these two tires, and I have come to the conclusion that the Super Sports are among the best tires money can buy. They grip, they last, and they're quiet. Everything a tire is asked to do, these tires do it very well. Every other tire has mixed reviews. These tires have nothing but raving reviews. If they don't end up living up to their reviews, then I will have wasted the $960 on them and I'll be perfectly fine with that. Short of personal experience, I've done as much research as I feel is possible and the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the tires I'm going with when I replace the stock tires.

so, this is not any time soon but eventually, I know my struts will give out under the compression of the sportlines, so when that happens, I've narrowed it down to two options.
either keep my sportlines and get Koni struts, or just get Megan EZstreet coils.
and go...

If you want coils I think the K-sports have had much better reviews than the megans. Megan does make a step up coil from the EZs that is probably pretty comparable to other stuff in the same price range. The EZ are just really really low end to hit that price. I think the inexpensive coils are not so much for the performance crowd as they are for the guys who just want to be low and flush. The megans are a great price but that will reflect the ride. If you're slammed the ride ain't gonna matter anyway.

The coils around $1000 are probably all pretty decent. The D2 racing RS, Megan Street not EZ-street, BC racing, Buddy Club N+, K-Sport Control, Tein Street Advance not Basis. Any of those.

I'm a big Koni fan. Spring and strut combo is solid and low maintenance.

If I lived in Florida or California, or anywhere in the southwest where it stayed pretty dry and I didn't have to deal with salt/sand/winter I would run coils.



If they were available for the 2012+ I would highly recomend you the KW Variant 1 or 2 coilovers. The #1s are usually around $1200. The #2 jumps to around $1500-2000. I haven't seen them listed for your car yet.

KW is expensive. I think the Redshift coilover is cheaper, but much much better in dollar/performance ratio.
