Finally finally got my speed dawg shift knob and I love it!
This knob and boot matches and completes the interior for me

2 things...the lighting may make the knob look orange, but it's very red. And the boot is a little crooked here, but I got it straightened out so that the lines match up
 
you mean to use it like an EZ lip?
I actually have a brand new EZ lip in my garage that I won a long time ago when they were having that promotion...

How have your pro designs headlamps holding up? I just ordered min, pretty stoked but been reading around and apparently they fog up, have you had this problem? Did you ever have just the base headlamps installed without LEDs and hids? I saw your pics they looks so sick I just don't have the budget for the hids / LEDs replacement bulbs now and just wanted to get your opinion on how the headlamps looked/ held up stock?

Well I had them stock for about 2 months, never fogged up on me.
I really really love them, by far my favorite mod.
Even after putting them in and taking them out a few times, they look and fit and hold up great.
It changes the whole look and if you go the HID route, the shrouds are awesome.
Even without HIDs, LEDs are cheap.
You'll love them.
 
I saw you posted about when hooking up the LEDs to use resistors, how hard was that? I'm kind of a electrical-tech-tard, throw me some bolts and im down but electrical stuff intimidates me, got any wise words of wisdom for the install? (much appreciated in advance!)

Swapping the headlights is very easy. Wiring the LED strips to the headlights or driving lights is easy too.

I made it hard because I wanted the strips on all the time, so I wired them to the inside cabin fuse box.

If you're not planning on LED DRLs or turn signals, then it'll be a simple swap
 
Oh damn, so the LED's aren't inherently DRL's or turn signal wired? Yea I would definitely want to do that, I just assumed that was the whole point... Lame

How hard was it to wire them up to make that happen? Sorry to be hijacking your thread mayne this **** is just over my head

no worries man, i'm here to help.
yea, the led strips come with just a wire hanging out of the back, and there are wire taps in the box to use to splice to whatever wire you want.
for me, i created this thread and squiggy helped me out a lot by taking pics.
once i extended the wire inside the cabin, i used an add-a-circuit fuse adapter to get power from fuse slot #23 in the cabin fuse box.
pretty simple, just hard to figure it out the first time, with no help

Nice! That doesn't sound too difficult. Was there a specific type of wire you used to extend the wire? Did you have to merge the left and right wires together then connect them to the fuse adapter?

Yes I merged both wires then used a long strip of 18 gauge to run it inside.

They would turn off with the DRLs, so they wouldn't be on at night.
 
Hm yea makes sense, but that doesn't seem too hard, I'll probably be doing that all soon! I decided to just go the HID route anyway, so really all I need is the add a slot fuse adapter and some 18 gauge to run to the cabin fuse box and splice the left and right led strips together? easy enough! Thanks for the help man, I'll let you know how it goes
