I've pretty much gotten my car ready for the "Dragon Gathering".........
Fully flushed my A-Trans fluid, changed brake fluid, changed engine oil/&F, rotated tyres, added some exterior trim piping(pic's to come).
I just turned 15,000 (year old July 2012).
Looking forward to meeting you peeps.

dammit, I found a piece of metal in my tire this morning... pulled it out with pliers.. it doesn't appear to be leaking (sprayed soapy water on it, no bubbles). It was inserted in a bit of an angle, and you could see it buldging the sidewall a bit. Should I be concerned about the tire's ability to hold up? Should I call tire rack and replace my new tire with a new one for $200 before next week?

The small bulge looks like it was pushed out from the metal piece, the tire should be ok if it wasnt punctured, if you got road hazard then idk if they would cover it.

No road hazard.. or I'd just get it replaced. It was just an awfully long piece of metal. Worried since I need it ready for the dragon next week. If the tire blew out or something or ruined the dragon meet I'd be pissed.

Its an entire 1" long... I can't imagine it didn't go all the way through, but you can't tell

You need to hold that piece at the puncture site to guess how far it went in(looking at it I'd say you're ok, since there were no bubbles either).
If you're still concerned take it to a tyre shop and get a inside patch(although that close to the edge might work the patch a little to hard).
Since there's some time before the meet, I'd do a pressure check every day(same temp, and also you lose a little just checking), if you don't see any real air lose, forget about it.

If not I could try and pull a few strings at Sirius radio and see if they'll take you back even though you told them never to talk to you again.
