Anyone here a beer advocate?

Man.... I have a lot to add to this thread :giggle: I can't keep up with all the new beers that I drink.

i miss those summer days when i was a little younger blowing an entire day drinking. keeping a nice buzz all day long

Nothing better than some good day drinking. It takes some practice, but once mastered it's great. Every nice Saturday there wasn't a home football game while I was in undergrad at WVU a bunch of us would all go to a friends house, grill out, play corn hole, watch college football and drink all day. There was nothing better.
:yeahthat:

Although, for me it was pink lemonade and vodka on the beach, playing with the ladies during the day, then party at night.

BTW, pink lemonade and vodka makes your clothes fall off.

The beach may very well be my favorite place to drink. It's just, perfect. I also prefer liquor over beer on the beach, for the most part.

A perfectly poured beer..

Cheers!

I've always wondered why BWW only uses hefeweizen glasses :rotfl:

It's not a big deal, just strange.

They have some pretty good wing flavors for a large chain.

Just got back from one of my favorite local beer places in Pittsburgh. Had a nice double ipa, a porter, a stout, and a weizenbock (11.2%

)

Every beer was pretty damn good.

The place actually just did a Pumking tasting last week. They had both 2012 and 2013 Pumking which would have been a pretty interesting comparison.

I bought a 6-pack of Major Tom's Wheat and 12-pack of Boston Lager. I chose the Major Toms bc I wanted to give it a try.

Duvel Gold is $14.99 for a 6-pack with tiny bottles. I think it was 8 or 10 oz.

I kinda like it. It tastes like Pomegranate. :giggle: But I think that the pomegranate flavor is overpowering the "wheat"-ness of the beer. The beer needs more wheat.

That's a great price, considering that's about how much a 4 pack of Duvel bottles costs. A bomber of Duvel (22 oz) usually costs between $10 and $15 depending on where you are.

I know. I didn't want to buy it for a random friday night. Lol.

Is that at Costco? I wish I could find it for that cheap around here. I haven't had Duvel in ages and that would give me a great reason to buy it.

Not Costco. It's a local Vineyard (about 2min away) that sells various types of beers from all over. It even shows the beeradvocate rating besides the beer price labels. Lol.

Damn... that is nice. At this point, I only buy beers that I've heard of (either individual hyped beers or beers from elite breweries), beers that I love, or beers based on their Beer Advocate ratings :rotfl:

I'm going to start going spontaneous and get different beers at this place. A 6-pack of whatever and a 12-pack of Boston Lager. :giggle:

I went to a bar in Hoboken NJ last Wednesday night to grab a beer with a few friends. It was $5(plus tip) for a Blue Moon on tap. Then I went to a pizzeria that sells bottled beer for $4 (whichever). I bought the Boston Lager. :giggle: Personally, I prefer that pizzeria bc I like how they make pizza. And beer there is cheaper than at the bars. So it was $7 all together for a large slice of pizza (held with 2 plates) and a bottle of beer.

laugh all you want but i went to red robbin today and got an oktoberfest milkshake and it was AMAZING

Not bad at all. Especially if quality pizza.

I spent about $35 tonight + tip on 4 beers and a burger :rotfl:
