Anyone here a beer advocate?

I have a 4 pack of the DFH Piercing Pils. Their current "seasonal" offering. Supposed Czech style pilsner brewed with pear juice and pear tea and saaz hops. I'll post pics and report later.

I gotta get out of this thread. I can't even drink any beer today

I will look for this beer.

That's the pilsner I had! I thought it was pretty good. Very refreshing. It was on draft and super fresh.

DFH is classic..... and a staple among great American craft beers. But I just have never had that one beer from them that wows me. I need to try more of their stouts cause I don't think I've had any of them since I became a big stout drinker. I did have one of their pilsners recently that I really enjoyed.

Nugget Nectar is good stuff. Troegs is huge around western PA, so I can find just about all of their stuff pretty easily. I don't think I've seen Nugget Nectar yet this year though. I definitely need to get some.

I'm drinking Sam Adams Boston Lager right now. It's very very hard to dislike this beer.

My roommates favorite beer. He obsesses over Sam Adams even though I've gotten him into much better craft. I do like Boston Lager though. It's a classic and one of the only beers from Sam I enjoy.

Yea, the Hopback (only Troegs I had so far) was pure deliciousness.

I like both Boston Lager and Cream Stout. I have to try their Imperial Pilsner.

Didn't have a single beer today. Couldn't tell you the last time that happened on a Friday. Probably never.

However, for Valentines day my girlfriend did get me a growler full of an oatmeal stout made by a local brewery as well as a 4 pack of snifters (the last pieces of glassware I was in need of). I should be able to put them to good use tomorrow :giggle:

Been researching/writing since about 11 o clock. Tomorrow, I'm taking the day off and guzzling many, many beers

Turning 21 next month, so i can *legally* buy beer for myself and it's perfectly timed because i just started working at trader joe's and they have quite a unique selection of brews!
I'm excited to try them all

I bought some Ommegang Adoration. I like their Three Philosophers quad, but I thought I'd try the Adoration. But tonight is a night for a bourbon. Tomorrow I'll do the Ommegang.

Also had a Slyfox Pikeland Pilsner. Wasn't that good. Mediocre pilsner at best.

Also drank a 40oz bottle of one of the foulest tasting beers I've ever had. It was a beer from el salvador or something called Cerveza Caguama. Think Corona... without the lime... only 10 times worse :bleh: Had some lite beer at the bar (either bud or miller) and it seriously tasted much much better than the Cerveza :giggle:

I'm not a huge fan of Mexican beers. I think the only one I would drink is Dos Equis.

That's because there aren't any good ones :giggle:

The dark Dos Equis is alright. I like it with Mexican food. Try Negra Modelo if you're ever at a Mexican restaurant that serves it. It's not bad actually. Probably my favorite Mexican beer.
