Hondata Releases 2012 Honda Civic Si ECU Reflash!!

welcome to the site :wavey: - you should post up some pics of your ride

Hey guys new to this site. I have reflashed and I did dyno yesterday on a dynojet(much more accurate than dynapack HONDATA uses) results were 183hp 159tq they haven't emailed me the graph yet but ill post it soon. I do have a custom catback but I don't think I'm getting any gains from it just sounds good. I didn't do a stock dyno so I'm not sure of true gains but reflash feels great

welcome to the site - interested to see your dyno sheet when you get it. :wavey:

here is the dyno graph as promised(first two runs done in 3rd gear the third was in 4th)

4th gear is the closest 1:1 ratio -

Gear Ratios for 2012 civic si: 1st: 3.267, 2nd: 2.040, 3rd: 1.429, 4th: 1.073, 5th: 0.830, 6th: 0.647

After the second run I told the guy something wasn't right then he asked which gear was closest to 1:1. Ive never dyno before I didn't know it needed to be 1:1

so what are your thoughts on the before/after as far as the way it drives and stuff?

Before the rev hang was the biggest issue when I test drove it I thought I just wasn't familiar with the clutch but I soon realized it wasn't me. I hated it!!! After reflash rev hang GONE!!! Although the throttle doesn't like light throttle, it is very jerky but easy to drive around that. Power definitely feels better than gains my dyno showed! My first 9000 miles avg 30.4 mpg I reset my trip, 1200 since reflash and trip reset 31.5 mpg. I never really expected 20whp so I'm happy!

and the added gas mileage is just icing on the cake. Glad you're liking it

Can anyone tell me how Hondata sends my ecu back to me? What shipping service do they use?

I believe two users said they were "waiting for fedex" to show up with their package

I just wonder what shipping service (speed wise) does Hondata use.. overnight? maybe 3 day or ground(god i hope not)

oh, thought you meant company. Sent back next day service, although someone else made a comment their package didn't arrive on saturday. So if hondata sends the package out on Friday, I guess they do not opt for next day "Saturday service". In that situation, it would arrive on Mon.

wow, that would be awesome.. I'll look for my package tomorrow I suppose

I noticed the same thing with the light throttle jerkyness and the same mileage increase too, nice to see people with the same road experience. I think it was worth it. Think of it like this, even if you lease it. Is it worth to you for an extra $150 per year for added perofrmance? That helped me with my choice. :vtec:

How on earth are you guys reaching 30+ MPG? I can barely stay above 26-27 and i drive pretty conservatively with my city/highway mix.
I drive my si only on Saturday &Sunday
I have the reflash I drive the car hard and mine MPG is at 28 I use shell 93 and also have the drop in k&n
