Hondata Releases 2012 Honda Civic Si ECU Reflash!!

they're waiting on flashpro... but yes. They're planning on releasing a kit, similar to the setup they did for the 8th gen.

referring to the previous page in this thread, i HIGHLY doubt honda is going to be redoing ANYTHING with the powertrain on the SI for 2013. the k24z7 is basically a "new engine" in a sense that it has the inegrated exhaust manifold (so no header technically) and the new ECU, i'm not even sure if all the other k24 parts from the z3 are compatible (there's a thread, i'm too lazy to look) but it's more than just a "new ECU" in relation to the previous TSX engine.
and if it ain't broke don't fix it is what i'm saying... aside from some random clammoring people, most of the reviews of the civic SI don't complain about the engine (save for the rev hang issue) they continue to praise it as a great, rev happy engine, though they do say they'd like 15-20 more HP, which can be achieved with boltons/etc once flashpro is out imo

The K24z3 is found in the current gen tsx, lol. I know that the differences are minute because there was a video on TOV, plus it was confirmed by others as well...I own a current gen tsx too.

oh i'm not saying that you are complaining : )
i'm saying that i highly doubt honda will redo the powertrain, or even touch the SI (save for some exterior and interior touchups) as frankly, it's one of the strong points of the car

on a side note, i'm torn on this reflash, i'm going to try to get intouch with hondata and see what type of discount will be available for flashpro for current reflash owners (if it's enough, i might just get the reflash now)

if it's like the 8th gen - they offered $150

I already have a reflash / GroupN ECU / FD2 Civic Type R ECU. Is there a discount?
Yes. There is a rebate of $150. Here is how it works:
  • You must have previously sent your ECU to Hondata for a reflash.
  • Purchase a FlashPro at the retail price.
  • Install FlashPro Manager 1.1.0.5 or newer.
  • Lock and register FlashPro.
  • Press the button request rebate
  • If your ECU qualifies Hondata will be notified and will send you a rebate check.
The process is explained in detail here

problem is i don't want to be without a car... according to hondata's website there's a tuner about 45 min from my house who is hondata registered as a dealer
Xenocron tuning

they are somewhere in southern NY, i'm trying to get in touch with them, see if i can just drive my car down, have them reflash it, and i'll drive home

Think. When I got my reflash they said only 100$ rebate. But that was sooooo long ago

awesome... the shop i contacted said it's beteween $350 and $400 depending on how fast i want the shipping
hondata says its $295 ... the ecu is the size of my freaking notebook, i doubt it's $55-$105 for shipping...
why do i have to go through a hondata dealer when they just f*cking mail it to hondata anyway:pat:
