At least a couple years. It was an older 300 in rough shape. Did an oil change on it and guy requested synthetic.How old does a filter have to be to be rusting through?

I smell garbage. Feeling better but today I’m smelling things that aren’t there. Kind of a sweet/rotten smell in my nose. I guess it’s called parosmia.
