Two kids. Both have iPads ( get a couple hours a day on them ).
It would cost me $78 plus tax a month for 120mbs.

Xfinity Internet (new customer) - $39.99/mo for 300Mbps Internet Package - (first 24 months with No Term Agreement)

Canada - Free Health Care but internet packages are pricey lol

I'm just messing with ya ;) Going from 40Mbps to 120Mbps is quite the jump!

But he’s still getting YouTube “cable tv” or whatever and saving $60/month. So he’s saving 60 bucks a month, but still gets all the YouTube package channels.

thats nuts. we get screwed on cell phones too. im paying $140 for two phones. one with 9 gig data and one with 4 gig data.

A: She doesn't like streaming... Using a Roku/Firestick/Chromecast or whatever it may be is not for her...
A#2: She likes hitting the power button on the Xfinity X1 remote and she's ready to go. She hits guide and boom all the channels she knows. Or she goes to the menu and can go to her "DVR" shows to watch. It's "too much work" to use the Roku in the bedroom (but she has used it when folding laundry so I know she knows how to use it!).
B: She knows the channel lineup for Xfinity/Comcast since she's had it basically since birth. She knows the guide/what channel is say NBC/CBS/Fox/ABC/ect... She's rather spend the extra $60/month to keep what she knows.

I switched from Verizon Wireless to Xfinity (uses Verizon Wireless Towers) about 8 months back. You have to have Xfinity Internet (minimum) to get it but we aren't ever switching so no worries there.

3 lines (we own the phones / no insurance)
10GB Shared

$66.25/month AFTER fees/taxes.

lol. damn thats cheap.
how about property tax? im paying close to $5000 a year. last house we bought for $155k was $1600 a year.

I'll take any dollar savings I can get. Our cable and Interenet from poopy-butt Comporium was $220.00. I used to be $155 but the "special" 2 year price ran out and they switched to a streaming service rather than a cable box.....so somehow it went up a bit due to the streaming.

Now we will be at $65 for YouTubeTV and I think $90 for comporium internet....the mid-high level. We had the low level interent but once the wife started with ESPN she was doing a lot of zoom meeting(and also producing live tv from home), so we needed to but up the internet.


Comporiun somehow gets to be the only "cable" provider so all residents are F-ed. No othe company can use they wiring network so any competitor that wants to come in has to re-wire the enntire town. Yeah, there is Direct TV but its ****.

Thats what I like about YouTubeTV.....it has a guide and operates just like regular cable. You can also set up the guide to show your favorite/most watched channels at the top of the guide. So that will be nice once we get it all set up.

You also get the traditional streaming menus but I think we will stick with the guide/live tv menus.

Ummm.. Well we rent from my MIL so we don't pay property tax.. She does lol
When she dies our house and her house go to my wife :thumbsup:

Sure.....keep believing that, lol. Normally a landlord builds in the property taxes and yearly insurance into the rent payment.

You have a special case, since your landlord is family, but she would be doing a dis-service to herself if she wasn't making you pay for it.

He lucky. Due to property revaluation and taxes passed in my town and county, my taxes are going up $4k this next year. I’ll be paying just shy of $10k. Yikes! I’m not happy at my overlord’s increase in rent this year.

Oh wow.

My wife has lived here since 2008/2009. I moved in when we got married (2012) and my wife has never paid for the property taxes. Just rent and renters insurance. She has asked my MIL about it a while back but MIL said don't worry about it.
 
I know quite a few people that pay in the $500-600 range a month in property taxes. $800+ a month for foo is rough. A 4k increase in a year is crazy talk. I wonder how many are leaving the area due to the hike?

Jesus. I hope your house is worth a lot for that kind of tax.

Gurney flap came in yesterday. Dropped it off for clear this morning.
