Official Computer Talk Thread

Pretty basic looking but it's still my most expensive build yet. I will be adding some RGB fans possibly. Debating AIO or air cooled. Stock cooler has to go. Wifi and lan drivers wouldn't work, I think my windows version is too old. So last night I was upset because I couldnt update window or anything. At 5am I woke up and realized I could download the driver and transfer them with my phone. So this morning I did that.

Is the front fan spinning? Maybe it's the picture.

Don't add more RGB fans lol Just add 1 more front fan above the current one.

Personally I like the way AIO's look but for your setup an air cooler would be sufficient and cheaper.

im not sure about the front fan, didnt notice till now. i feel like it needs a little more rgb. aio with rgb on the pump would be a good amount. im gonna wait a bit before adding to this. it will work as is for now. also my first rgb ram. im new to rgb.

Does this work? I am anti-RGB but they made me do it! I blame @Honda-Fan

Edit: I turned off the RGB on the motherboard (the left side in the pic below) since it didn't match.

Haha. I’m not a fan of all the RGB. I just made the lights on the motherboard and graphics card red. Truth be told, I had it all off at one point but couldn’t tell if it was on or not.

@FooBird - I purchased some thermal pads for the GTX 1080. Might take it apart this weekend and re-apply them and re-paste it.
 
Hopefully that helps that card. Temps weren’t awful but high. Were they not because I was baking it in an ITX case?

Yesterday's video! You are the first person that has mentioned Dawid! I watched that video while at the gym yesterday.

He was comparing it to the RTX 3060 and the 1080Ti was comparable if not better (in some tests!)

I don't think I got above 70-75C while I was gaming on it for a bit but I have a mid tower.

Forgot which case you said. Looks like the 4000D airflow (I have the 5000D Airflow).

Yeah I'm not an RGB fan but definitely missing something there. I'd just get the RGB AIO CPU Cooler and call it a day. F all the fans going RGB.... $$$ and so many cables.

this is what im probably going to do. yes 4000d. played some cs go last night ( im not good at gaming) and the cpu got to 80c. i think i did something wrong installing the cooler.

80C on the stock wraith cooler? Yeah.. you did something wrong.

What other games do you have/are you going to get?
