Official 'What did you do to your car today?' Thread

Funny...no offense squiggs but it seems like everyone think full-race is the best because they're the most expensive or well-known, but my cheap foreign Tsudo exhaust and cheap ultimate racing downpipe fits perfectly.

Downpipe was not really expensive and fits fine. Cost is actually in line with Ultimate Racing...so is their exhaust. It is the exhaust that was causing me the problems. Could be the installer too. I don't claim to be an expert. Trying to line up the hangers right and the mid-pipe piece that just slides in was a bit of a pain. I could have screwed something up there. The biggest issue as mentioned before was the weld bead on a flange.

Other than that, I am happy with it. Really, I wanted a full system from a single company because I was hoping for a good fit. I had read that one (or more) hangers may need to be bent (which I forgot about until I had most everything bolted up) as well as a heat shield. Plus, everyone said that it sounded great...a nice deep tone. A bit loud right now when stepping on it, but I am okay with that.

Full race really does have a strong brand recognition in the Honda world and because of this their products carry an exorbitant price tag. Not that it isn't worthy because they certainly make quality products. Their exhaust is about the best option you can get imo for the 8th, factoring in power and sound (it's quiet).

Their turbo kit for the 8th for example, used to be super expensive. It's come down in price now, likely only because there are other kits on the market that are just as good if not better, and they were offered at a much lower price.

Full race definitely knows how to market themselves. I'll give them that.

That's good that you let ppl know, so they can make their own choices.....

Definitely. I wish they made a 3" header with a hi-flow cat option though.

Well I'm not blaming you, just seems like a lot of work and difficulty for a product in such high light.

I do agree that a full system from one company is nice.

I'm always looking for the "best bang for your buck" deals

Gave her a thorough cleaning and took her out for a beer....and smoke!

Cleaned the air filter, degreased the engine/trans area, and foam washed the entire engine bay with Dawn dish soap. I dried it using an air compressor. I wish I had a hand held electric blower since it would be more efficient that way. I also re-greased the Corsport shifter cable bushings using silicone grease.

I didn't foam the abs module, alternator or the air filter areas.

This is probably more for me but I don't like things sliding around in the trunk, and I often need a good flashlight at night. I bought some Maglite mounting clips and installed them into the decklid. There's a brace about 1 1/2" from the actual decklid that I drilled pilot holes into, then marked and drilled out the holes in the carpeted deck cover so I could find the holes. Took about 5 minutes to do.

Where's pics of the LEDs?

Well Kplayground only sent me 2 LEDs so I'm missing 3 of them. They sent this

Which I'm sure the one on the left is for the interior dome or the license plate light. Now that one of the right I don't know where that goes. But that's all they sent me. So I'm waiting on response from them about it.
