Official 'What did you do to your car today?' Thread

I purchased red caliper paint at my local Summit Racing, but I really prefer the yellow (even though it makes me look like a Steelers fan, which I am most definitely not). I think the red would really look great, but I've always been partial to yellow.

red is too common. I bought remanufactured TSX calipers to do a brake swap in my car, but they came in powder coated red. I dont think I'll change the paint color since it is powder coated and will last for a very long time.

Not my car, but my girls Escape started making brake noise yesterday and with further inspection her brakes where beyond shot... Almost no pad left and the rotors where destroyed, she just had her car in for inspection in June and they said they where fine... Not what I wanted to do on a Sunday...

redid my hids both low beams and fog lights with relay harness. and also got my fogs to run independent and now stuck with this "check air bag system" on the imid display, have no idea what could cause this to pop up.

First mod to my 2014 civic SI

I installed the Russell SS clutch line and added Motul RBF600 fluid. I still need to change the trans fluid, install Russell SS brake lines, and install the TSX brake parts.

Gotta change that mtf man don't wait to long. Why TSX and not the tl type s?
I'm running two sets of wheels(stock for regular and TSX wheels for winter). Both wont clear the tls calipers unless I run spacers which I don't really want to do. I have a long weekend. I'll have them done before Labor Day. :D

Also the TL-S Brembos require drilling the mounting holes on the knuckle. Permanent modification. I know they will hold up fine but I don't like the idea of reducing the metal of a mounting point in a high stress & load area.

Oh didn't know that, buddy of mine just did the swap not to long ago but never asked him about it. But is the install the same in the 8th gen? or u referring to 9th gen?

TL-S onto the 8th gen. It could be the same for the 9th but I'm not 100% certain. Im pretty sure they still bolt right up and fit with the proper rotors. S2Ks I think have the right offset on the rotor hats but still require drilling the knuckle mounting holes.

I installed the TSX caliper on one side. I didn't cut the brake shield. I'll explain later on once I finish them entirely.

Bended it? hahaha I had heard one person say they didn't trim the shield somehow. Does it just rotate out of the way?

I figured that since it is a thin piece of metal, it will be very easy to bend. So I used a vice grip to shape it so that it will clear the caliper bracket.

Here is the dust shield with the bends:
