NY strip (sous vide and grill finished) bernaise (sous vide prep), roasted broccoli, latkes (oven fried)

and made cookies to throw at people at work today
 
wouldnt be the first time ive sent baked goods around to people
 
Poor grill gave its all….

Just ordered all new burner parts and grates for $100 shipped. Need it to last a year or so more.

if youre gonna rebuild it, look at adding a layer of lava rocks

I'm in the same boat, looking at replacing all the same stuff over the winter.. I never knew about the lava rock thing, I'm gonna go that route since my grille has hot and cold spots all over the place
 
I did it on a old gas grill i had, evened out the heat a lot and got more of that cooking over charcoal flavor i was missing

I just need it to work another year or so. Once the new house is done and we gather a bit of cash, we will be doing a built in grill in the outdoor mini kitchen in the screened in porch.
