well when using halogen bulbs. They never mess up. i put those back in and I have had not a single problem yet. so im thinking its just that LED kit I had. Im thinking of just getting a set of HIDs and having them professionally installed in charlotte nc. they seem to be the clear choice since i hear alot of 9th gens run HID jkits with no problems over not hearing about much from the LED side from the 9th gen community. so HID i will go. its probably cheaper too. let me know your input if you think im wrong.

I mentioned the fuse thing because of your harness. You may have had a wire exposed on the led harness.
I'm not 100% what your headlights are without doing a search. Do they take 9006 halogen bulbs with a projector lens?

and yes i dont think anything was exposed but im sending those back. i want brighter. and ive heard that the brightest is HID so im going in that direction.

You should have zero issue with doing hids in there. You could get a kit from xenondepot or theretrofitsource with a relay harness. I'd stay away from cheaper kits you find on eBay. The bulbs and ballasts tend to be problematic and then you have to deal with trying then to warranty the product. Much easier with a reputable company that's been in business a long time.

if you've pulled your bumper off and done your headlight swap, you can definitely do the hid bulbs.

so there is no splicing or anything like that. the only parts i will connect to is the battery, the harness and the headlight.

well im going to wait for my $100 refund from the LEDs and then im going to give it a try with xenon depot and try and install them myself. I let you know when i get them and ill post if i need any help or have questions.

whats the difference in volt HID and extreme HID on xenondepot? the Volt is like $50 cheaper which is probably what im going to get.

I have morimoto HID from The Reteofit Source in my projectors. Great company and customer service. I've had them for over a year with no problems. You can definitely do them yourself, it's all plug and play. The hardest part is the mounting point for the ballast.

I also just ordered 9005 Phillips LED headlights from Xenon Depot. I should have hem in next week. I'm planning to use those as the DRL/high beam.
