I thought my eibach prokits on Konis was the best setup for DD. Full soft setting on the Koni and it was very comfortable. I bet the H&Rs will be a similar feel. The Eibachs are almost the same rates as stock just a shorter wind to lower the car. The H&R a slight bit stiffer.
The neuspeeds I have on now are a little bumpy but I also have the struts turned up pretty hard. Spring rates are 218F & 448R. The ride is bone jarring but the roads are really bad here from the winters. I do have to say that aside from the uncomfortable ride I do like the handling much much better. It's very sharp and I finally feel like the car is slow since I can carry so much speed through turns. I should put them full soft so I get a better idea of what the spring actually feels like with a "stock" damper.
The "bumpstops" are basically an MCU elastomer stack. They are used in bicycle suspension all the time as a lightweight, long lasting, inexpensive, low/zero maintenance spring. No worries about riding on those unless they start to compromise travel. Follow the manufacturers recommendations as far as trimming.
