Yeah, the hit on the wallet already occurred when I drove it off the lot. It'll serve its purpose one way or another. I just don't like the responsibility of having to worry about a thing I have little control over that is sitting in a garage with a battery that is probably/soon-to-be dead.

...because I didn't want to drop all $32k in cash? The car will be paid in full by the end of the year anyway.
Only a fool would drive to the Smithsonian. The subway is the way to go there, but I already did all the tourist stuff 20 years ago when I got to this area.
The beach isn't a bad idea...
Not really. There are plenty of ride share services here, and the nearest hospital is a little over a mile away. My apartment complex also has 24/7 concierge within a 30-foot walking distance, so I can completely ruin their week should I have a mild heart attack.
I'm also single and don't have...
Public transportation. It is a literal 10-min free bus ride to work and back.
I get everything delivered, including groceries. That's how I managed to not own a vehicle for all nine years prior.
Not in this area. Traffic sucks. I wouldn't mind going for a drive if I had a reason to, it just...
Seven straight days of moving. The worst is finally over. Now it's just unpacking and furniture reassembly.
I hurt everywhere all the time. Popping Aleve like candy. What was Danny Glover's famous quote in Lethal Weapon again?...
In other news, I really like my Touring.
Longer than that...I haven't owned a vehicle since 2015. I just don't need one here. It has been so relaxing to mentally zone out while the bus/cab takes you wherever you need to go.
Public transportation is a free 10-15 minute ride to work. Groceries, packages, etc are all delivered, and the...
They are notorious for that exact behavior.
I recently had a FedEx guy put a hold on my package after one delivery attempt just so he wouldn't have to redeliver it, which forced me to visit the local FedEx office to pick it up.
I avoid FedEx any chance I get.
Agreed, those Accords look incredibly vanilla.
This touring model has all the assisted-living features you could possibly want. I'll just pretend there's a third pedal.
Too bad it will be a garage queen for a long while. She's only a tool that I don't plan on keeping past 2024.
Long story...
Welp, it finally happened. Life's necessities forced me into choices I didn't want to make.
Not only am I moving apartments in two weeks unplanned, I accidentally stumbled into a Honda dealership this afternoon and got a 2024 Civic Touring stuck on my shoe.
Not having driven a car in at least...
I will respectfully ask you to not divert the train until I can make a suitable unique entrance into the arena while not reducing my over-inflated turn of events.
...if you get what I'm putting down.
Thank you.
